Chairman and Founder

Dr. Tausif Ahmed

Dr. Tausif Ahmed, Founder Member and Chairman of JSMU Alumni Canada, is a graduate of Sindh Medical College, 1984 batch, and has devoted decades to supporting international medical graduates in Canada. Arriving over 37 years ago, he navigated the challenges of building a career in a new country, ultimately establishing medical centers across the GTA and beyond. His own journey inspired him to create a platform where SMC JSMU graduates could connect, support one another, and grow together.

Together with Co-Founder and Co Chairman Anwer Rizwan and a few dedicated volunteers, he started a WhatsApp group for SMC JSMU graduates in 2021, which has since grown into a non profit organization registered with the Canadian government and recognized by Jinnah Sindh Medical University in Pakistan. His vision of mentorship, collaboration, and community support continues to inspire alumni to dream big, stay united, and lift one another along the way.
